EB-5 & Venture Capital Overseas Funding Event: NYC May 16-17

USAdvisors is co-hosting an EB-5 & Venture Capital event in New York City May 16-17 with noted international law firm Greenberg Traurig, Now Street Journal, LDJ Capital and the Soho Loft Capital group.
This two day event will feature leading experts in the country on the process of creating an EB-5 Regional Center, preparing the offering documents and distribution and solicitation that conforms to U.S. securities laws and capital markets best practices.The first day will focus on EB-5 issues of concern to developers looking to raise capital and for practitioners on investor, securities and immigration related topics.
Featured presenters on these topics include Morrie Berez, former USCIS Program Manager for the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program and Bill Yates, Chief of Domestic Operations for USCIS. Leading attorneys from Greenberg Traurig will also be on hand to discuss strategies for raising funds through private placement offerings in ways that are compliant with U.S. laws, as well as the problems and pitfalls of working with offshore investors.
There will be a presentations from Registered Broker Dealers on Capital Markets best practices, on professional insurance and managing project and counter-party risk, as well as the unveil of the EB-5 Exchange which will allow Regional Centers and Project Developers from across the country seeking funding to list their projects on an international platform which satisfies Federal and State securities guidelines.
The second day will examine the changing Private Placement Marketplace since the JOBS Act and how that could impact raising funds both domestically and from overseas in the near future. This day will be of interest to those looking outside of EB-5 for non-traditional funding which could leverage U.S. bank financing.
